Mission Statement

Christian Aid for the Caribbean is a non-profit organization that was founded for the sole purpose of feeding the children of the Caribbean, specifically in the island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but the organization has expanded its services to include providing necessities to victims of disasters, helping the homeless and underprivileged in local communities, and providing counseling services to those with addictions. These services are provided in cooperation with Gulf Coast Rescue Mission in Biloxi, MS, and Christian Services, Inc., in Hattiesburg, MS.

To carry out these ministries, our three organizations collect clothing and other items that can be given to disaster victims at no cost. Other clothing and items are sold through our thift stores in Hattiesburd (on 2nd Street), in Biloxi (on Mission Lane), and in Gulfport (1008 E. Pass Road). The funds from the sales are used to support our programs, including the feeding of needy children in St. Vincent.

In addition, any fabric items (clothes, bedding, linens, etc), shoes, purses, and belts that are not suitable to sell or distribute are baled and sold for recycling and the funds are used to help the underprivileged. Donation centers are located on Mission Lane in Biloxi, at 500 Pass Road in Gulfport, and at Ace Hardware in Diamondhead, MS.

By working through the local churches on the islands of St. Vincent, CAFC, Inc., is providing hot lunches for children in daycare, school lunches for children who cannot afford them, and supplemental foods to families with children where there is insufficient food to meet the needs of the children.

To accomplish our goal of feeding the children of St. Vincent, CAFC, Inc., is open to any avenues that the churches, individuals, and civic organizations may make available or may find most beneficial. CAFC, Inc., is a non-denominational organization, not affiliated with any specific church or civic group, but is made up of individuals who have a heart for feeding hungry children. Anyone who has such a heart is invited to be a part of this effort.

CAFC, Inc., is a registered charitable organization with the state of Mississippi and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization recognized by the IRS. All donations to CAFC, Inc., are fully tax-deductible.
